Take a Day Trip from Calgary, Alberta!

Since Calgary is one of the biggest cities in this part of Alberta, we tend to think of our city as the place where people take their day trips, and while there certainly is plenty to do here in a day, we have some recommendations for when you feel like venturing out to other parts of the province. Cochrane, AB; Okotoks, AB; and Drumheller, AB all offer plenty of fun things to do, as well, and all it takes is hopping into your new or pre-owned Hyundai automobile and making the most of this beautiful country.

Here are a few day trip ideas for those looking to branch out from Calgary sometime soon:

Olde Towne Okotoks – If you’ve never been to Okotoks, a visit to Olde Town Okotoks could be your reason to finally venture out. It’s only 18 kilometers away and offers loads of great boutique shopping and restaurants. Summer festival season is best for a visit, but it’s a quaint experience any time of year and certainly worth the quick drive from Calgary.

The Saskatoon Farm – There is a ton do here, especially in the summer when visitors can pick their own berries and go for walks through the garden center, but the faux Main Street is the pièce de résistance, as it offers all sorts of great things to do. The food alone is worth the trip, but the old-timey vibe is really fun, too.

Banff National Park – Visitors to this esteemed national park could easily spend a week traversing the complexities of the Canadian Rockies, but one-day visitors can make the easy drive out to Banff and take in the views at Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, and the Banff town site.

Get out there and make the most of the vehicles you purchased here at Country Hills Hyundai, particularly the spacious ones like the 2017 Hyundai Tucson, 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe, and 2017 Hyundai Elantra. Each provides a comfortable interior for these sorts of day trips, which makes them all the easier to get out there and experience!
